Medeco CT-Y04 Square Bar Fox Police Tailpiece 2-3/8" for Rim Cylinders

Tailpiece for Medeco rim cylinders

The Medeco CT-Y04 is a square-bar Fox Police tailpiece measuring 2-3/8 inches and built specifically for Medeco rim cylinders. It replaces the original cam on locks that use a police-lock mechanism and is sold separately from the cylinder body. The component has no applied finish and carries the Medeco High Security Locks branding under ASSA ABLOY. Installers and facility managers select this part when a damaged or lost tailpiece must be restored to factory function.

Behaviour under sustained use

The hardened steel bar resists deformation through repeated lock cycles, keeping the cam engagement consistent over long service intervals. Its precise square profile prevents rounding that would otherwise cause intermittent operation in high-traffic doors. The part is not suited for cylinders that accept a different tailpiece geometry or for applications requiring a longer throw than the supplied length. Buyers needing an alternative length or a different cam style must source a separate component.
