Dual-port QSFP InfiniBand adapter delivers 40 Gbps over PCIe 2.0 for low-latency server and storage clustering
This Mellanox ConnectX InfiniBand Host Channel Adapter suits enterprise data centres and high-performance computing clusters that require low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnects for server and storage clustering. It also fits embedded deployments where consolidated I/O reduces infrastructure complexity.
The card arrives as a standalone adapter; no cables, transceivers or management software are included in the supplier data. Buyers must source compatible QSFP modules and any required drivers or firmware separately to activate the dual-port link.
A standard PCI Express 2.0 bracket provides the mechanical interface for rack-mount servers, while two QSFP cages accept 40 Gbps optical or direct-attach copper modules. The form factor assumes adequate slot clearance and airflow inside the host chassis.

The card has no moving parts and no user-serviceable components, so no scheduled maintenance or replacement is needed during normal operation.
The PCI Express 2.0 x8 interface caps sustained bandwidth, so the bus becomes the bottleneck before the dual QSFP ports saturate.
Typical power draw is under 29 W and the passive heatsink keeps the adapter within its thermal envelope in standard server airflow.
