A challenging steel model kit of the historic B-24 Liberator "Diamond Lil" bomber with 69 parts and a display stand
This Metal Earth kit reproduces the Consolidated B-24 Liberator "Diamond Lil" in steel at a challenging difficulty level. It contains 69 precision-cut parts that assemble without glue or paint, though tweezers are recommended. The finished model measures approximately 8.25 inches wide, 5.25 inches long and 2.55 inches high and includes a display stand. It is intended for adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy detailed military aircraft subjects.
The B-24 Liberator first flew in 1939 and entered active service in 1941, becoming the most produced American aircraft of World War II with 18,482 built. This kit depicts the 18th production airframe, Diamond Lil, which served in every theatre for bombing, patrol, transport and VIP missions. Today Diamond Lil remains one of only two airworthy B-24s, making the model a tangible link to that operational history.
The kit is an officially licensed product supplied in a brand-new, unopened box with manufacturer's original packaging. It features a detailed exterior and true-to-scale proportions but has no interior openings or moving parts. Buyers who want a model with accessible cockpit or bomb-bay details, or who prefer a lower part count for quicker assembly, should consider other subjects.
