The Meterk MKD-001 is a 100 percent mechanical deadbolt with a stainless steel 304 body and a wear-free keypad. It suits wood or metal doors 35 to 50 mm thick and works on left or right handed, inward or outward openings. No batteries or wiring are required, so there is no risk of power failure. A physical key override is included.

Borehole fit and hand adjustment

Installation takes about an hour on standard prepared doors with a maximum borehole diameter of 2-1/8 inches. The borehole cannot be less than 1-15/16 inches. A slight knob cutout adjustment may be needed for the lock width. On double bore doors the unit must occupy the upper bore. The combination can be set in any order.

Code capacity and security limits

The tumbler system allows a 4 to 8 digit code with no repeated digits, yielding over 8000 combinations. The lock does not automatically engage, so users must lock it manually each time.
