Six Ways to Unlock

The Meterk Padlock-FG8 is a smart padlock that accepts fingerprints, RFID cards, numeric passcodes, NFC tags, a Tuya mobile app and a physical spare key. It stores up to 50 fingerprints and 100 codes or cards, making it suitable for families, small teams or rental hosts who need flexible, keyless entry on gates, sheds, lockers or storage units.

Weatherproof Build and Year-Long Battery

A zinc-alloy body and 10 mm hardened stainless-steel shackle resist cutting, pulling and twisting forces while an IP67-rated seal keeps out dust and water from -25 °C to 55 °C. The 500 mAh rechargeable cell powers the lock for up to 12 months per charge; a USB-C port provides emergency top-ups and the app reports remaining capacity with low-battery alerts.

Replaces Keys and Combination Dials

This lock removes the hassle of lost keys, forgotten combinations or re-keying when access needs change. It is not suited for buyers who require hard-wired power, integration with proprietary building-management systems or a mechanical keyway that accepts existing master-key sets.

Questions about this item

How do I wake the Meterk Padlock-FG8 to pair it with the Tuya app?

Press the # key or touch the fingerprint sensor to wake the lock, then open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, tap the + icon, select Add Device and follow the on-screen steps.

What battery maintenance will the Padlock-FG8 need over time?

Recharge the 500 mAh battery via the USB-C port when the app shows a low-battery alert; a full charge lasts up to 12 months under normal use.

What is the first limit the Padlock-FG8 hits under sustained outdoor exposure?

The IP67-rated housing seals out water and dust from -25 °C to 55 °C, so temperature extremes beyond that range would be the first environmental limit encountered.
