15 ft Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit

The Metra kit provides 11 quick-snap rods that reach up to 15 feet for dryer vent and chimney cleaning. A synthetic brush head, drill bit, collection bag and disassembly helper are included. The rods lock with a one-press mechanism and allow 360-degree rotation in either direction. The package weighs 0.662 kilograms and measures 43.688 by 10.6934 by 7.6962 centimeters.

Homeowners who want DIY vent maintenance

This kit suits owners who clean their own dryer ducts or fireplace chimneys and prefer a tool that works with or without a cordless drill. Buyers who need longer reach than 15 feet or who require professional-grade equipment for commercial ducts should look at something else.

Capacity and headroom

The 11 rods combine to cover standard residential runs up to 15 feet, handling typical lint buildup and improving dryer efficiency. Very long or sharply angled commercial runs may exceed the practical length. Regular use reduces the fire risk linked to 16800 annual house fires caused by clogged vents.

Questions about this item

Do I need a power drill to use the 11 rods and brush head?

The kit works with or without a power drill; the drill bit is included for faster rotation, but you can turn the rods by hand if preferred.

Will the quick-snap rods stay connected if I rotate them counterclockwise while cleaning an older vent?

Yes, the upgraded quick-snap design locks in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, so rods will not separate even when reversing rotation.

How can I confirm the 15-foot reach is clearing lint effectively after assembly?

Lint and debris collect in the included collection bag during use, giving visible proof that the brush is reaching the full length and removing buildup.
