Metra 17692 18 oz Carpet Spot Remover

Metra 17692 is an 18-ounce foam cleaner formulated to lift fresh and set-in stains from carpet fibres. The no-rinse formula uses a foam-action that penetrates fibres to break down common spills such as coffee, wine, grease and pet accidents. Supplied as a single aerosol can, it is ready for immediate household or automotive interior use.

Home users wanting a simple spray-and-blot solution

This product suits anyone who wants a straightforward spot treatment without mixing concentrates or renting extraction equipment. It is not intended for large-area shampooing, upholstery fabrics labelled solvent-only, or buyers who need a machine-applied deep-cleaning system.

18-ounce foam capacity drives coverage

The 18-fluid-ounce fill determines how many individual spots can be treated before a replacement can is required. Each application consumes a variable amount of foam depending on stain size and age, so the total number of uses will differ from job to job.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 18oz foam to carpet without over-wetting?

Shake well, spray directly on the stain, let the foam lift it, then blot with a clean cloth or sponge until clean; for older stains work the foam in with a rag or brush and repeat if needed.

When should I replace the 18oz bottle?

The product has a 900-day shelf life from manufacture; replace it once that period passes or when the foam no longer lifts stains effectively.

What stops me from using the 18oz can continuously on large areas?

The 18-fluid-ounce capacity limits total coverage, and the propellant-driven foam will run out before treating extensive carpet sections.
