Everyday cleaning kit

The Metra six-count pack supplies non-scratch cellulose sponges for dishes, countertops, bathroom fixtures and appliances. Each piece combines a biodegradable white cellulose layer with a sisal-fibre scrub side for stuck-on residue. The dual-sided design handles both gentle wiping and tougher scouring without marking delicate surfaces.

Best for non-stick and delicate surfaces

Home cooks who need safe cleaning for non-stick cookware, glass and ceramics will find these sponges suitable. They are not intended for heavy-duty oven racks, cast-iron seasoning removal or aggressive metal scouring where a harsher abrasive is required.

Simple to use and maintain

Rinse after each use and place in the dishwasher for periodic sanitising; the material dries quickly to limit odours. The main issue is premature wear if the scrub side is used on very rough surfaces or with harsh chemical cleaners.

Questions about this item

Will the 4.25-inch by 2.56-inch sponge fit inside my standard kitchen sink for everyday dish washing?

Yes, the sponge measures 4.25 L x 2.56 W x 0.87 H inches, making it compact enough to manoeuvre easily in most sink basins while still providing ample surface area for plates and pots.

Can I safely use the sisal-fibre scrub side on my older non-stick pans without damaging the coating?

The sponge is designed as non-scratch; the white cellulose and sisal-fibre construction cleans stuck-on food gently, so it will not harm delicate non-stick surfaces.

How can I confirm the sponges are still hygienic after several weeks of use?

They are dishwasher-safe; running them through a cycle sanitises the material, and the quick-drying cellulose resists odours, signalling they remain fresh and effective.
