Speaker adapter pair for Toyota

The Metra 82-8152 adapts aftermarket 6x9 inch speakers to the factory speaker locations in select Toyota vehicles. It is sold as a pair for a complete installation. The brackets are designed for straightforward mounting without fabrication.

Upgrades factory speaker mounts

These brackets replace the original speaker mounting points when fitting larger aftermarket 6x9 units. The jump is worth it when the factory openings are too small or shaped differently for the new speakers. Installation uses the existing bolt pattern for a secure fit.

Suits owners adding aftermarket 6x9 speakers

Buyers who want to keep the factory look while upgrading audio quality will find this adapter useful. It is not for vehicles outside the listed Toyota applications or for speaker sizes other than 6x9 inch. Shoppers needing a different bolt pattern should verify compatibility before purchase.

Questions about this item

What size speaker opening does the Metra 82-8152 adapter pair accept?

Each bracket in the pair is cut for a standard 6x9 inch aftermarket speaker, matching the factory opening in select Toyota models.

How do the 82-8152 brackets attach to the vehicle, and what step is often missed?

They bolt directly to the original speaker mounting points; the step many installers skip is reusing the factory screws instead of supplying their own hardware.

Will the Metra 82-8152 adapter pair need any future maintenance or replacement parts?

No, the moulded brackets have no moving parts or consumables, so once installed they remain in place for the life of the speaker.
