This 9-pin wiring harness connects an aftermarket stereo directly to the factory connector in Volvo 740 and 760 models from 1985 to 1992. It also fits 200 Series upper and lower dash units from 1981 to 1985 and 240 Series upper and lower dash units from 1986 to 1989. No cutting or splicing of the original vehicle wiring is required.

The harness routes power and four speaker channels through the original plug, preserving the factory wire gauge and connector geometry. This avoids the voltage drop and crosstalk that can appear when adapter leads are extended or joined with crimp connectors.
