Vehicle-Specific Dash Kit

The Metra 99-2021 dash kit fits 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse models. It allows installation of a single-DIN or double-DIN aftermarket stereo. The kit uses a patented quick-release snap-in ISO mount system with a custom trim ring. It is designed for owners replacing the factory radio.

Interior Integration

Contoured and textured surfaces match the factory dashboard appearance. The removable oversized storage pocket provides extra space when a single-DIN unit is installed. No thermal, noise or power-draw considerations apply to this passive accessory. Installation preserves the original dash aesthetics.

Mounting Flexibility

Included hardware supports one double-DIN radio or two single-DIN radios. The quick-release mechanism simplifies future stereo removal or service. Buyers needing a different vehicle fitment or a kit without the storage pocket will require a different part number.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Metra 99-2021 dash kit and what is the step most people miss?

Snap the ISO mount brackets to the radio first, then press the assembly into the kit until the quick-release tabs click; the step most people miss is fully seating both side tabs so the unit locks flush with the trim ring.

What maintenance or replacement will the Metra 99-2021 need later?

The kit itself requires no scheduled maintenance; only the removable oversized storage pocket may need replacement if its retention clips break from repeated use.

What is the first fitment limit that appears under sustained use of the Metra 99-2021?

The contoured trim ring matches the 2005-2009 Buick Lacrosse dash; the first limit is potential clip fatigue on the storage pocket or ISO brackets after many removal cycles.
