Vehicle radio mounting kit

The Metra 99-3527 is a purpose-built accessory kit that secures a radio unit in a vehicle dashboard. It is designed for installers who need a factory-style fit for a single-DIN or double-DIN opening without modifying the original trim. The ABS plastic construction resists vibration and temperature swings inside the cabin.

Sustained vibration and heat resistance

Under continuous road vibration the moulded brackets hold the radio firmly without loosening fasteners over time. The black ABS material maintains its shape and mounting integrity through seasonal temperature extremes, so the head unit stays aligned and rattle-free for the life of the installation.

Questions about this item

Does the 99-3527 mount generate any heat or noise during continuous use?

The mount is a passive ABS plastic bracket with no moving parts or electronics, so it produces no heat and makes no sound while installed.

What additional parts are needed to secure a radio with the 99-3527 kit?

The kit provides the mounting frame and trim; you will still need a radio-specific DIN cage or ISO brackets and the correct wiring harness for your vehicle.
