Vehicle Fitment

The Metra 99-7422 dash installation kit is engineered specifically for the 2007 Nissan Sentra. It allows owners to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket single-DIN or double-DIN head unit while maintaining the original dashboard appearance.

Installation Design

The kit uses a snap-in ISO support system that secures the new radio without permanent modifications to the vehicle. A recessed DIN opening and custom trim ring create a flush, gapless fit against the factory dash, and an oversized storage pocket is integrated below the radio for small items.

Radio Compatibility

This kit accepts one double-DIN radio or two single-DIN radios, giving the installer flexibility in head-unit choice. All necessary mounting hardware is included in the package, so no additional brackets or adapters are required to complete the installation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 99-7422 kit in my 2007 Nissan Sentra and which step is often missed?

Mount the custom trim ring, snap in the ISO support brackets, then secure the radio; the step most people miss is fastening the recessed DIN opening clips before attaching the storage pocket.

What maintenance or replacement will the 99-7422 dash kit need later?

The kit itself requires no scheduled maintenance; only the storage pocket or trim ring would need replacement if they crack from impact or prolonged sun exposure.

What is the first limitation that appears when the 99-7422 kit is used continuously in a hot cabin?

The black plastic trim ring and oversized storage pocket can warp or fade first under sustained high temperatures, affecting the gapless fit.
