Dash Installation Kit for Mitsubishi

The Metra 997007 dash installation kit enables installation of an aftermarket single-DIN radio into the factory dash opening of select 2000 and up Mitsubishi Eclipse and Montero Sport vehicles. It provides a secure mounting platform and a factory-like appearance in black. The kit includes the necessary brackets and trim for a clean integration.

Ideal for Single-DIN Radio Upgrades

This kit suits owners of compatible Mitsubishi models who want to replace the original radio with a single-DIN aftermarket unit. It is not intended for double-DIN head units or for vehicles outside the listed application range. Buyers needing ISO mounting provisions or a different dash contour should look at other solutions.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Metra 997007 kit into my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse dash opening?

The kit fits the factory radio cavity for select 2000-05 Mitsubishi models. Mount the supplied brackets to the aftermarket single-DIN radio, then slide the assembly into the dash opening until it clicks securely.

Will the black finish on the 997007 pocket kit fade or need replacement over time?

The textured black plastic is moulded in colour, so surface scratches stay less visible. No scheduled replacement is required unless the clip tabs break during a future radio swap.
