HVAC drain line maintenance

This two-pack provides a six-month supply of Metra ACDLC2 line cleaner for HVAC condensate drain lines, AC condensate lines, and fountain drink drain lines. The heavy-duty formula breaks down build-up in condenser drain lines, drip pans, pump reservoirs and p-traps to prevent clogging and backflow. Monthly use acts as a preventative measure against costly repairs and water damage from flooding or overflow.

Residential and light commercial condensate systems

The product suits homeowners and facility managers maintaining central AC units, whole-house humidifiers, dehumidifiers, portable AC units and condensate pump reservoirs. It also serves food-service operators needing to keep soda fountain lines and ice maker lines clean for beverage quality. Buyers requiring a scented treatment or a cleaner formulated for refrigerant circuit flushing should look elsewhere.

Unscented heavy-duty formula for monthly prevention

Each pack contains two bottles of unscented liquid cleaner designed for monthly preventative dosing in condensate drain applications. The formula targets the organic sludge and mineral deposits that cause blockages in drain pans, p-traps and pump reservoirs. No other concentrations, scent options or application methods are offered in this pack.

Questions about this item

Yes, the heavy-duty formula is designed for multiple uses including central AC, whole-house humidifiers and dehumidifiers, portable AC units, and condensate pump reservoirs to break down existing build-up.

How can I confirm the product is clearing my condensate drain line effectively after the first treatment?

You should observe improved drainage flow and a reduction in clogging or backflow issues; the formula works to break down build-up in the drain line, drip pan, pump reservoir, and P-trap.

Does the two-pack include any application tools or measuring cups, or must I purchase those separately?

The pack contains two units for a six-month monthly supply; no application tools or measuring cups are mentioned, so you would need to provide any dispensing equipment yourself.
