GM Data Interface 2006-2012
The AXXESS AXGMLN-03 data interface enables aftermarket radio installation in select General Motors vehicles from 2006 to 2012. It retains factory features such as OnStar, OE Bluetooth, chimes and balance and fade controls. The module provides accessory power at 12 volts and 10 amps while preserving Retained Accessory Power. It is designed for non-amplified systems or when replacing an amplified system.
Thermals noise and power draw
The interface draws up to 10 amps at 12 volts to supply accessory power to the new head unit. No cooling fan or active thermal management is present, so operation is silent. Power consumption scales with the connected radio and retained features such as chimes and OnStar audio. The pre-wired AXSWC harness simplifies connection without adding electrical load.
Sustained load behaviour
Under continuous use the module maintains steady accessory power and NAV outputs including parking brake, reverse, mute and speed sense. Adjustable gain control keeps chime and OnStar volumes stable during long drives. USB updatable firmware allows future compatibility improvements without hardware changes. High-level speaker inputs handle extended signal passage without degradation.

Questions about this item
How do I connect the AXGMLN-03 to my factory speaker wires, and which step is most often missed?
Use the high-level speaker input wires on the interface harness; the step most often missed is adjusting the gain control for chimes and OnStar so they match the new radio volume.
What part of the AXGMLN-03 will need attention or replacement after extended use?
The unit has no user-serviceable parts; if the USB firmware updater stops recognising the device, the interface itself would need replacement.
What is the first limit reached when the AXGMLN-03 runs continuously at high volume?
The accessory power output is rated at 12-volt 10-amp; sustained loads beyond that will trip the internal protection first.
