Ultrasonic cleaning at 48KHz
The Metra BJ025 is a 48KHz ultrasonic cleaner with a 12oz stainless steel tank. It produces 360° cavitation action to remove dirt from jewellery, eyeglasses, watches and dental retainers. Two timed cycles, 5 minutes and 7 minutes, let the user match the intensity to the item. Four rubber feet keep the unit stable and reduce vibration noise during operation.
Home users and small-item owners
This cleaner suits anyone who wants to maintain personal accessories such as rings, necklaces, glasses or baby pacifiers without visiting a professional service. It is not for workshops that need larger tanks, industrial transducers or continuous-duty cycles for heavy parts.
48KHz frequency
The 48KHz operating frequency determines the cavitation strength and the type of soiling it can remove. Buyers should verify that this frequency matches the cleaning requirements of their specific items before purchasing.

Questions about this item
How often does the 12oz stainless steel tank need descaling?
Rinse the tank after each cycle and descale with a mild citric-acid solution whenever mineral build-up becomes visible; the stainless steel resists corrosion so no scheduled replacement is required.
What limits continuous operation of the 48KHz transducer?
The unit offers only 5-minute and 7-minute timed cycles; running back-to-back cycles without a cool-down period will trigger the thermal protection and pause cleaning.
How loud is the cleaner when it runs multiple cycles in a row?
Four rubber feet dampen vibration, keeping the 48KHz operation quiet enough for a desktop; the ABS housing and stainless tank stay only warm to the touch during repeated use.
