Everyday cleaning sponges

The Metra Clean & Rinse pack supplies eight dual-sided sponges for daily kitchen and household tasks. Each piece pairs a non-scratch scrubbing pad with an absorbent cloth face so you can loosen grime then wipe the surface clean in one motion. The synthetic fibres rinse free of food particles under running water and resist the sour odours that develop on conventional sponges. An 8-count bundle keeps a fresh pad ready whenever the current one wears out.

Non-scratch capacity for delicate surfaces

The scrubbing side removes baked-on cheese, egg and grease without marking non-stick coatings, glass, porcelain or sealed stone countertops. Fibres stay intact through repeated cycles and can be refreshed in the dishwasher when needed. The cloth side absorbs spills and carries detergent across larger areas such as sinks, stovetops and bathroom fixtures. Heavy abrasion jobs like burnt carbon on bare cast iron will exceed the gentle pad’s capability.

Replaces single-use pads and worn sponges

Swapping from disposable scouring sheets or old cellulose sponges cuts waste and eliminates the scratch risk on coated cookware. The upgrade pays off when you regularly clean non-stick pans, glass-top stoves or polished stone and want a reusable pad that rinses clean each time. Households that only need occasional light wiping may find a simpler cloth more economical.

Questions about this item

Will the 4.5 x 2.7 inch non-scratch pad damage the seasoning on my cast-iron skillet?

The scrubber is designed to be safe on non-stick coatings, glass, porcelain and granite, so it will not scratch delicate surfaces like seasoned cast iron.

How can I verify the sponges rinse clean and resist odour as claimed?

After use, rinse under running water; food particles such as melted cheese or egg wash off the open-fibre scrub side, and the sponge can be dishwasher-refreshed to prevent sour smells.

Does the 8-count pack contain eight individual dual-sided sponges or four larger pieces?

The package includes four 2-count packs for a total of eight separate sponges, each with a non-scratch scrub pad on one side and an absorbent cloth on the other.
