Vehicle-specific harness bypasses the factory Sony amplifier in compatible Ford models from 2011 to 2017 for aftermarket amp installation
The AXABH-FD1 harness lets installers bypass the factory Sony amplifier in compatible Ford vehicles from 2011 through 2017. It provides loose-wire connections so an aftermarket amplifier can be wired directly without cutting the original loom. The plug-and-play design reduces installation time and preserves the vehicle wiring integrity. Suitable for Edge, Escape, Expedition, Explorer, F-150, F-250, F-350, Flex, Focus, Fusion and Taurus models within the listed years.
This passive wiring harness generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. It draws no electrical power of its own and adds negligible resistance to the speaker-level signal path. The unit simply routes the existing amplifier outputs to the new amplifier inputs without active circuitry. No cooling or external power supply is required.
The harness is engineered exclusively for Ford vehicles equipped with the factory Sony amplified audio system between 2011 and 2017. It will not function in non-Sony or base-audio configurations because the connector pin-out and signal levels differ. Buyers must verify their vehicle has the Sony amplified system before purchase. Vehicles outside the listed model years or without the Sony amplifier are not supported.

Connect the vehicle-specific plugs into the factory wiring behind the radio, then run the loose wires to your aftermarket amplifier instead of the original Sony unit.
No, the harness stays in the vehicle; only the loose-wire connections at the new amplifier change, so the bypass harness itself does not require replacement.
The factory speaker wiring gauges limit current before the harness does, so sustained high-power output may cause voltage drop or heat in the original speaker leads.
