AC Drain Line Cleaner 8oz

The Metra Flow Shield is an 8oz bio-enzymatic cleaner formulated for HVAC and refrigeration condensate lines. It targets organic build-up in central air conditioners, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, refrigerators and dehumidifiers. The unscented, non-toxic and biodegradable formula uses enzyme accelerators with 200 billion CFU per gallon. It is designed for use by HVAC professionals and homeowners performing routine maintenance.

Sustained Protection Up To Three Months

After the initial fast-acting breakdown of existing clogs and odour-causing material, the cleaner remains active in the system for up to 3 months of continuous protection. It works by staying in the drain line, pan or pump inlet to prevent future scale build-up and blockages. The product is not intended for lines that are fully blocked with no water movement; those require a mechanical unclogger first. Regular application maintains clear flow without repeated heavy dosing.

Compatibility And Usage Limits

The formula is compatible with all HVAC and refrigeration drain systems including central units, mini-splits, heat pumps and dehumidifiers. It is poured directly into the access point such as the drain line, condensate pan or pump inlet. The supplier notes that fully blocked lines with zero water movement must be cleared mechanically before this cleaner can be effective. No other chemical compatibilities or system restrictions are specified in the data.
