The Metra Mo-Flow hydrophobic mesh prefilter measures 12 by 12 inches and fits universally across racing, powersports, air purifiers, speakers and electronics. Its 100% polyester woven construction repels water and blocks dust while maintaining high airflow. The material is acid resistant and helps prevent electrostatic buildup. Supplied folded, creases can be removed with a cool iron.

Simple Cut-to-Fit Installation

Installation requires only cutting the mesh to the required shape and securing it over the intake with tape, zip ties or a frame. The lightweight .082 kilogram sheet handles easily and the 0.5 inch thickness adds minimal bulk. The main risk is leaving gaps around the edges that let unfiltered air bypass the mesh. A continuous seal is essential for the hydrophobic barrier to work as intended.

Mesh Density Limits Particle Capture

The 130-count mesh with 115 micron openings stops coarse dust and water droplets but cannot trap fine particulates, pollen or oil mist. It acts as a prefilter to extend the life of a finer primary filter, not as a standalone HEPA-grade barrier. In very wet conditions the surface sheds water but sustained immersion or high-pressure spray can overwhelm the hydrophobic treatment. Buyers needing sub-micron filtration must add a secondary filter stage.
