Portable 7" Wireless CarPlay Screen

The Metra Q10 is a portable mobile video unit that adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to any vehicle. It connects to a smartphone over Bluetooth and mirrors apps for navigation, music, messages and calls on a 7-inch HD touchscreen. Voice control through Siri or Google Assistant keeps the driver's hands on the wheel.

Upgrade from factory radio without wiring

This unit replaces the need for a permanent dashboard installation or a wired head-unit swap. It powers from a USB supply and transmits audio through built-in stereo speakers, an AUX cable or an FM transmitter to the car's existing radio. The jump is worth it when you want smartphone integration in a vehicle that lacks it, without cutting into the dash.

Sustained use on long journeys

The screen maintains a wireless mirror link for continuous navigation via Google Maps or Waze, syncing the phone's live GPS data without map updates. Audio stays stable through Bluetooth, AUX or FM during extended trips, while the 5.1 stereo output handles voice prompts and music. The USB power feed supports uninterrupted operation for the duration of the drive.

Questions about this item

How wide is the Q10 unit and will it fit my dashboard space?

The unit measures 14.33 inches wide, 12.83 inches high and 9.06 inches deep, so check those dimensions against your available dash or mounting area before buying.

What is the correct way to power the Q10 and which cable must be used?

Connect the supplied USB cable to a vehicle USB port or a 5 V USB charger; the device draws power only through USB and will not turn on from the FM or AUX connections alone.

Which parts of the Q10 are most likely to wear out and need replacement later?

The USB power cable and the AUX audio cable see daily plugging and unplugging, so they are the items most likely to need replacement after extended use.
