Retractable Reach 30 to 100 Inches

The Metra Retractable Gap Duster Kit extends from 30 to 100 inches using a lightweight stainless-steel pole with a non-slip handle. A flexible microfiber head just 0.3 inches thick slides into narrow gaps and bends in both directions. Three washable microfiber covers are included for repeated use. The kit weighs 0.29 kilograms.

Suits High Ceilings and Tight Gaps

Homeowners who need to dust ceiling fans, vents and shelves without a ladder will find the adjustable pole practical. The slim head reaches under beds, sofas and appliances without moving furniture. Buyers who want a powered vacuum or a motorised rotating brush should look at a different type of tool. The microfiber covers trap dust on delicate surfaces.

0.3 Inch Thick Flexible Head

The single specification that decides fit is the head thickness of 0.3 inches combined with a 2.76 inch width and 15.5 inch length. This profile determines whether the duster enters the specific gaps under your refrigerator, sofa or cabinet. Measure the narrowest clearance before purchasing to confirm compatibility.

Questions about this item

What minimum ceiling height do I need for the 30-to-100-inch pole to reach a fan without a ladder?

The stainless-steel pole extends from 30 to 100 inches, so a standard 8-foot ceiling is within range when you stand on the floor.

Will the 0.3-inch-thick flexible head slide under my older low-clearance sofa?

Yes. At just 0.3 inches thick and 2.76 inches wide, the bendable microfiber head fits under most vintage sofas and cabinets without moving them.

How can I confirm the microfiber covers are trapping dust instead of scattering it after I attach one?

Run the covered head across a dark surface; the microfiber fibres hold particles on both sides, leaving a clean track you can see and feel.
