Sand remover pouch for beach and outdoor use

The Metra sand remover bag is a compact pouch filled with natural cornstarch powder that lifts sand from skin with a light tap. It is designed for beachgoers, campers, hikers and pool users who want a quick, water-free way to clean themselves and their gear. The pouch measures .2 inches thick and weighs .141 kilograms, making it small enough to clip to a bag or belt loop.

Replaces rinsing stations and towel wiping

Instead of queuing for showers or dragging sandy towels back to the car, a single pat of the pouch coats grains so they brush off dry skin in seconds. The jump is worth it when fresh water is scarce, when shower lines are long, or when you need to keep a tent, chair or car interior free of grit without waiting for surfaces to dry.

Handles daily beach trips and light camping

The cornstarch volume inside the .2 inch pouch comfortably covers two adults for a full day at the shore or a weekend at a campsite. It runs out on extended multi-week expeditions or when shared among large groups, at which point a refill or second pouch becomes necessary.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the waterproof PVC bag that holds the cornstarch powder?

The bag measures 5 by 5 by .2 inches and weighs .141 kilograms, making it compact enough to clip onto a beach bag or chair.

How do you apply the cornstarch powder without spilling it, and what is the step users often miss?

Tap the sealed pouch gently to release a fine layer of powder onto skin, then wipe the sand away; the step many miss is resealing the waterproof zipper immediately so moisture does not clump the remaining cornstarch.

When will the cornstarch inside need to be replaced, and how can you tell?

Replace the pouch once the powder no longer coats sand particles after a firm tap — typically after several beach trips — because the cornstarch gradually depletes and cannot be refilled.
