What this kettle is
The Meyer Mr. Coffee Carterton is a 1.5-quart stainless steel whistling kettle built for stovetop use. It works on electric coil, electric smooth-top and gas cooktops. A mirror-polish finish gives it a clean, retro look. The whistle signals when water reaches a boil.
Who it suits and who it does not
This kettle suits anyone who wants a compact, durable vessel for heating water on a traditional hob. It is not for buyers who need an electric plug-in kettle with automatic shut-off. It is not for buyers who want a larger capacity than 1.5 quarts. Hand washing is recommended, so it is not for users who require dishwasher-safe cookware.
The specification that decides fit
The 1.7 litre capacity sets the maximum volume of water you can heat in one go. If your household regularly needs more hot water than this in a single boil, you will need a larger kettle.
