Carbide drill mill with 90 degree point for drilling and milling operations in a single tool
The Micro 100 DM-125-290 is a carbide drill mill with a 90-degree point angle and uncoated finish. It is intended for machinists and fabricators who need a single tool for drilling and milling operations. The two-flute design supports chip evacuation in a variety of materials. This item ships directly from the supplier.
Combining drilling and milling in one tool reduces tool changes and setup time. The jump is worth it when a job requires both holemaking and slotting with the same 1/8 inch diameter. Uncoated carbide performs well in non-ferrous and low-alloy materials where coatings add no benefit. It is not for high-volume production runs that demand coated tool life.
The 1/8 inch milling diameter handles small-hole drilling, chamfering and light profiling in softer metals and plastics. Carbide hardness provides wear resistance beyond high-speed steel in abrasive composites. Headroom runs out in hardened steels or deep cavities where coolant-through or coated geometries are required. It is not for heavy roughing or high-feed milling strategies.

The carbide drill mill has a 1/8 in milling diameter, which matches the shank size required for standard 1/8 in collets or holders.
Insert the shank fully into the collet before tightening, keeping the uncoated cutting edges clear of the jaws to avoid chipping the 90 degree included angle.
Replace the tool when the cutting edges show visible wear, chipping, or when hole quality degrades during drilling or chamfering operations.
