Double-ended 90-degree carbide engraving tool with 5/8 inch cutting length
The Micro 100 RNC-500-24 is a double-ended carbide engraving tool built for 90-degree cutting in inch-based applications. It targets machinists and fabricators who need a rigid, uncoated carbide cutter for detailed marking or light material removal on metal workpieces.
The 5/8-inch length of cut defines the maximum depth per pass, so the toolholder and spindle must accommodate that reach without interference. Its double-ended geometry lets you flip the tool when one tip wears, extending productive time between changes and reducing the number of inserts a shop must stock.
Supplied uncoated, the carbide relies on its substrate hardness and the 90-degree included angle to produce clean, sharp V-grooves without the edge buildup that coatings can sometimes cause. The .004-inch tip radius is factory ground, giving a consistent starting point for fine engraving work right out of the package.

The tool provides a 5/8 in length of cut, allowing that depth in one pass with the carbide tip.
The uncoated carbide tip is designed for engraving; heat buildup depends on spindle speed, feed rate and workpiece material.
The tool uses a standard shank compatible with common ER collets or Weldon holders for 5/8 in cut length tools.
