Double-end carbide engraving tool with 8.00 mm cut length and 90° angle
The Micro 100 RNCM-060-2X is a double-ended engraving tool made from carbide with an AlTiN coating. It suits machinists and engravers who need a 90 degree included angle for V-grooving, chamfering or marking tasks in a workshop or light production environment.
The tool provides an 8.00 mm length of cut, giving enough reach for shallow to medium-depth engraving passes in metals and plastics. Deeper profiles or heavy stock removal will exceed the flute length and require a different tool or multiple setups to avoid deflection.
Carbide construction with AlTiN coating resists heat and wear during high-speed spindle work, but the material is brittle and can chip under interrupted cuts or excessive feed rates. The 90 degree geometry fixes the groove profile, so applications needing other included angles must use a separate cutter.
Measured against everything we stock in Bits, Hole Saws & Accessory Kits, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

The tool is built with an 8.00 mm length of cut and a 90-degree included angle, so it fits standard ER collets and holders that accept that shank dimension.
Check for consistent chip colour and clean edge finish on the first test pass; AlTiN should run cooler and show gold-purple wear marks rather than blue oxidation.
Only the carbide engraving tool itself is supplied; collets, tool holders and any mounting hardware are sold separately.
