Micron MTFDKCC12T8TGQ-1BK1JABYY 12.8TB NVMe 2 in 1 accessory

High-capacity NVMe SSD for data-intensive workloads

The Micron 7500MAX MTFDKCC12T8TGQ-1BK1JABYY delivers 12.8TB of storage using a PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe interface. Sequential reads reach 7000MB/s and writes reach 5900MB/s. Random 4KB performance is rated at 1,100,000 IOPS read and 410,000 IOPS write. The drive is supplied new with a 90-day seller warranty.

U.3 form factor requires compatible backplane

This SSD uses the U.3 form factor, which is the single specification that determines fitment. It will only install in a system or enclosure with a U.3 or compatible U.2 bay and the necessary PCIe Gen4 x4 wiring. Builders using standard M.2 slots or older U.2-only backplanes cannot use this drive.

Installation is a direct drive-bay insertion

The U.3 drive slides into a hot-swap bay and locks with the carrier latch; no cables or adapters are required. The usual problem is inserting the drive into a bay that lacks PCIe Gen4 x4 electrical connections, which leaves the SSD invisible to the BIOS. Verify the backplane specification before mounting.
