Magnetic Keyboard Folio for Surface Pro

The Microsoft 1755 Surface Pro Type Cover adds a full mechanical keyboard and integrated fingerprint reader to compatible Surface Pro tablets. It attaches magnetically and doubles as a protective folio case. The black nylon finish resists water and impact during daily transport. This accessory targets professionals who need laptop-grade typing and Windows Hello sign-in on a detachable tablet.

Build Integration and Freedoms

The cover draws power and data through the Surface magnetic connector, so no batteries or Bluetooth pairing are required. Its built-in trackpad supports multi-touch gestures, freeing desk space otherwise needed for a separate mouse. The fingerprint sensor enables instant Windows Hello authentication without typing a PIN. When closed, the folio shields the display and reduces the number of items carried.

Upgrade Context and Limits

This Type Cover replaces the on-screen keyboard and any third-party Bluetooth keyboard for Surface Pro, Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 owners. The jump is worth it when physical keys, a trackpad and biometric login are needed for sustained productivity. Buyers who require a numeric keypad, backlit keys or compatibility with newer Surface Pro models should look elsewhere.
