Ergonomic Comfort Curve Design

The Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 features an ergonomist-approved contour that encourages natural wrist posture. Its familiar key layout keeps every key the same size and in the expected position. The slim, glossy black design saves desk space while maintaining a full 104-key arrangement. It connects via a wired USB interface for immediate compatibility.

Wired USB Power and Silent Operation

The keyboard draws power directly from a single USB port with no separate supply required. Wired operation eliminates batteries and wireless latency during normal use. Standard membrane switches produce typical office-level sound without specialised dampening claims. Power consumption remains minimal and within standard USB limits for peripheral devices.

104-Key Layout with Media Controls

This model provides a complete 104-key set including dedicated media keys for music, video and calculator access. The layout suits users who need a full numeric keypad and function row in a curved ergonomic shape. Buyers requiring wireless freedom, mechanical switches or macOS/Linux support should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 and which step causes the most trouble?

Connect the USB cable to a free USB port on a Windows 7, Vista or XP (excluding 64-bit XP) machine; the common mistake is plugging it in before the OS loads so the media keys are not recognised.

What maintenance or replacement will the keyboard need over time?

It has no user-serviceable parts; if a key switch fails or the cable frays the whole unit is replaced.

What limit appears first during long typing sessions?

The fixed 1.29-inch height and lack of tilt adjustment force a static wrist angle that becomes uncomfortable before key fatigue sets in.
