Digital action roguelike for Xbox One

Has-Been Heroes is a downloadable action roguelike published by Microsoft for Xbox One. Players control three legendary heroes tasked with escorting twin princesses across a dangerous world. The game blends strategic spell combinations with real-time combat encounters. It carries an ESRB Everyone 10+ rating for fantasy violence and mild language.

Xbox One DRM and download delivery

This title requires an Xbox One console and an active Xbox Live account to redeem and play. The digital code ties the licence to your Microsoft account, preventing resale or disc-based installation. An internet connection is mandatory for the initial download and any subsequent updates. Offline play depends on the console's home-console designation and licence sync status.

Roguelike runs with procedural variety

Each run generates new routes, enemy layouts and spell offerings, encouraging repeated attempts to reach the academy. The three-hero formation and combo-driven combat system reward experimentation with different elemental effects. Progression resets on failure, so players seeking persistent character growth or a linear narrative campaign will not find it here.
