Product Identity

The Microsoft 8XA-00168 is a 13-inch Surface Pro keyboard covered in Alcantara material. It includes a dedicated Copilot key for quick AI access, a full mechanical keyset with backlighting, and a large glass touchpad. A built-in tray stores and recharges a Surface Slim Pen 2.

Compatibility Fit

This keyboard suits owners of a Surface Pro 11th Edition, Surface Pro 9, or Surface Pro 8 who want integrated pen storage and the new Copilot key. Users with earlier Surface Pro models or non-Surface devices should look elsewhere because the magnetic attachment and feature set are limited to the three listed generations.

Deciding Specification

The Alcantara-covered 13-inch form factor with integrated Surface Slim Pen 2 storage and charging is the single specification that decides fit. If your workflow requires the pen to be housed and powered inside the keyboard, this model meets that need; if not, a simpler cover may suffice.
