Remastered Gears of War for Windows 10

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a downloadable remaster of the original shooter, rebuilt with ultra-high definition graphics up to 4K resolution for Windows 10. Published by Microsoft, it includes all new Xbox Live Achievements worth 1250 Gamerscore. The digital code delivers the complete campaign and multiplayer suite with gameplay improvements and alternate control options.

Suits players with a DirectX 12 card and 60 GB space

This edition suits players on 64-bit Windows 10 version 1511 who own a DirectX 12 capable graphics card and have 60 GB of available storage. It supports keyboard or gamepad input and offers a new difficulty level for franchise newcomers. Buyers who need more than 16 GB system RAM for 4K targets or lack an SSD for the 4K recommended specification should look at something else.

Requires DirectX 12 graphics hardware

The single specification that decides compatibility is the requirement for a DirectX 12 capable graphics card. Minimum GPU examples include GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290X for 1080p play at 8 GB system RAM with 4 GB VRAM. For 4K the recommended hardware rises to GeForce GTX 980 Ti or Radeon R9 390X with 16 GB system RAM and 6 GB VRAM plus an SSD.
