Suits owners wanting laptop typing on a Surface Go

This cover suits users who want a compact, backlit keyboard and precise trackpad for mobile productivity. It protects the screen when closed and folds back for tablet use. Buyers who need a numeric keypad or a larger trackpad area than 3.9 by 2.2 inches should look at alternative input solutions. The fixed layout is built specifically for the smaller Go form factor.

Trackpad dimensions decide fit for precision work

The trackpad measures 99.2 mm by 56.5 mm (3.9 inches by 2.2 inches), which determines the available gesture and navigation space. This single specification defines whether the cover provides enough control surface for your workflow. Verify these exact dimensions against your precision requirements before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Surface Go Type Cover KCM-00001 and is anything else required?

The cover includes the keyboard unit with backlit keys and integrated trackpad. It attaches directly to the Surface Go via the built-in connector so no separate cable or adapter is needed.

The listing mentions trackpad dimensions of 99.2 mm by 56.5 mm. How does that size affect daily use?

At 3.9 by 2.2 inches the trackpad is extra-large for a compact cover, giving ample room for multi-finger gestures and precise cursor control without feeling cramped.

The description says the cover clicks in place with the Surface Go kickstand. What does that mean for typing stability?

The magnetic connection locks the cover firmly to the tablet, and the kickstand supports the screen angle, creating a rigid laptop-like platform that stays steady on a desk or lap.
