Compact business laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 is a 13.5 inch touchscreen ultrabook built for professionals who need a lightweight Windows 11 Pro device. Its quad-core Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor runs at 2.3 GHz with 4 MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

8 GB memory and 256 GB NVMe storage

The system ships with 8.0 GB of LPDDR4X SDRAM and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Maximum supported memory reaches 32 GB for future upgrades. This capacity covers office suites, web browsing and video calls, while heavier creative workloads will exhaust the available RAM.

Single USB port and wireless connectivity

One USB port handles wired peripherals, so a hub or dock is required for multi-device setups. Bluetooth 5.0 and IEEE 802.11 ax wireless free up desk space by removing cables for mice, keyboards and headphones. The backlit keyboard and 720p webcam support work in low-light environments.

Questions about this item

Will the single USB port on the Surface Laptop 4 handle my older USB-A mouse and keyboard without a hub?

The laptop provides one USB port; connecting multiple legacy USB-A peripherals simultaneously will require a hub or adapter.

How can I verify the 2496 x 1664 touchscreen and Intel Iris Xe graphics are active after I sign in?

Open Settings > System > Display to confirm the 2496 x 1664 resolution, then check Device Manager > Display adapters for Intel Iris Xe.

Does the box include a USB-A to USB-C adapter so I can use my existing flash drives right away?

The package contains the Surface Laptop 4, power adapter and documentation; a USB-A to USB-C adapter is not included and must be purchased separately.
