13.8-inch Copilot+ laptop for business users

The Surface Laptop 8 ships with Windows 11 Pro and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Plus processor that includes a 10-core CPU and an NPU rated up to 80 TOPS. The 13.8-inch touchscreen resolves at 2304 x 1536 and is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory plus a 256 GB SSD. Integrated Adreno graphics handle everyday visual workloads while Wi-Fi 7 provides the wireless link.

Sealed chassis limits field upgrades

Memory and storage are soldered to the mainboard so the 16 GB LPDDR5X capacity and 256 GB SSD cannot be increased after purchase. The 10.00 lb weight reflects the integrated metal body and battery assembly. Opening the device voids the manufacturer seal and requires specialised tools not supplied in the box.

Sustained workloads stay within thermal envelope

The Snapdragon X2 Plus architecture distributes compute across its 10 cores and the NPU so that AI-enhanced tasks such as on-device inference keep running without thermal throttling. Adreno graphics share the same thermal budget, so prolonged video encoding or light 3D work remains stable. Battery life scales with the efficiency of the ARM-based design under continuous load.
