Business-Ready Copilot+ PC

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 8 EP2-48115 is a new 13.8-inch Copilot+ PC built for business users who need AI-powered productivity in a platinum anodized aluminium chassis. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H processor with 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512 GB SSD. A 1080p webcam, Wi-Fi 7 and TPM 2.0 security complete the core specification.

Suits Mobile Professionals, Not Expanders

This configuration suits professionals who value a 3:2 touchscreen at 2304 x 1536 resolution with 120 Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness and anti-reflective coating for long days away from a desk. The 54 WHr battery supports up to 23 hours of local video playback. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory or storage, or who require additional USB-A ports beyond the single 3.2 Gen 1 socket, should look at something else.

Sustained Workloads on 39 W Power

Under sustained load the 39 W AC adapter and 54 WHr battery balance performance with thermal limits in the fanless design; fast charging requires a minimum 60 W source via Surface Connect or USB-C Thunderbolt 4. The 201 PPI display maintains colour accuracy in sRGB and Vivid profiles during extended sessions. Two USB-C ports carry Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 traffic while the 3.5 mm jack handles audio.

Questions about this item

Do I need a Thunderbolt 4 dock or a USB-C charger rated for at least 60 W to charge this laptop at full speed?

Yes, the Surface Connect port and the two USB-C ports support fast charging with a minimum 60 W charger, and both USB-C ports are Thunderbolt 4 certified.

Will my existing USB-A 3.2 peripherals work without an adapter on this laptop?

The laptop includes one USB-A 3.2 port alongside the two USB-C ports, so USB-A devices connect directly.

How can I verify the 120 Hz refresh rate and 600 nits brightness are active after setup?

Open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and confirm the refresh rate shows 120 Hz; HDR content or the Vivid colour profile will demonstrate the 600 nit peak brightness.
