Everyday Windows laptop for students

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 ships new with Windows 11 Home and a 12.4 inch PixelSense touchscreen. An 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor handles web browsing, document editing and video streaming. Eight gigabytes of memory and a 128GB SSD provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times. The platinum chassis weighs 2.48 pounds for easy transport between classes or meetings.

Slim aluminium body with limited expansion

The lightweight aluminium shell keeps the footprint compact, yet the fixed 8GB memory and soldered 128GB drive cannot be upgraded after purchase. A single USB-C port and one USB-A port handle charging, data and external displays, so hubs are often needed for multiple peripherals. The 720p HD camera and dual Studio Mics improve video-call clarity, while Omnisonic speakers deliver clear audio for media playback.

128GB storage and fixed memory set practical

The modest 128GB SSD fills quickly with modern applications, large media libraries or offline files, requiring cloud storage or external drives for heavier workloads. Eight gigabytes of non-expandable RAM limits the number of browser tabs and background apps that run smoothly. Buyers who need more local storage or user-upgradable memory should consider a different configuration.
