Compact laptop for everyday work

The Surface Laptop Go 2 model 8QF-00023 combines a 12.4 inch touchscreen with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor and 8 GB LPDDR4X memory. It ships with Windows 11 Home 64-bit and a 256 GB SSD, targeting students and mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows device.

Aluminum top with composite base

The exterior uses an aluminum top cover and an aluminum and polycarbonate composite base containing 30 percent post-consumer recycled content. A fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button for Windows Hello sign-in, and an ambient light sensor adjusts screen brightness automatically. The 39 W power supply connects via the proprietary Surface Connect port.

Upgrade from slower storage or smaller screens

Replacing a device with a mechanical hard drive or a display below 12 inches brings noticeable gains in boot speed and workspace area. The 3:2 aspect ratio and 1536 x 1024 resolution suit document editing, while integrated Iris Xe graphics limits the machine to light creative tasks and casual gaming.
