Convertible 2-in-1 for creative workflows

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio AI4-00001 is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop built for content creation. It runs Windows 11 Home on an Intel Core i7-11370H processor with 32GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. The 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow display offers 2400 x 1600 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 10-point multi-touch. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4GB video memory handles graphics workloads.

Suited for pen and touch workflows not desktop

This device suits creators who need a versatile form factor with pen and touch input for drawing or annotation. The dynamic woven hinge allows smooth transitions between laptop, stage and studio modes. Buyers who need upgradeable memory or storage should look elsewhere as both are soldered. Users requiring extensive port selection or legacy connectivity will find the limited I/O restrictive.

14.4-inch 120Hz PixelSense Flow display decides fit

The 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen with 2400 x 1600 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate is the specification that determines suitability. Its 3:2 aspect ratio and 201 PPI provide tall canvas space and sharp detail for design work. Dolby Vision support enhances colour accuracy for media editing. If the screen size, aspect ratio or refresh rate do not match the workflow, this is not the right machine.

Questions about this item

What ports does the Surface Laptop Studio provide for connecting existing peripherals?

The laptop includes two USB-C ports with USB 4 support and a Surface Connect port, so current USB-C devices and the Surface Dock can be used directly while USB-A gear needs a simple adapter.

Can the 120 Hz PixelSense Flow display run at 60 Hz for legacy applications that expect a fixed refresh rate?

Yes, Windows 11 lets you set the refresh rate to 60 Hz in display settings, and the panel will operate at that rate without frame-pacing issues for older software.

How can I verify the RTX 3050 Ti is active and using its 4 GB of video memory after setup?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose GPU 1, and confirm the name reads NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti with 4 GB dedicated GPU memory shown.
