12.3" 2-in-1 for mobile professionals

The Surface Pro 6 combines a 12.3 inch PixelSense display with an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor, 8 GB of LPDDR3 memory and a 128 GB SSD. It runs Windows 10 and includes a black Type Cover that attaches magnetically for laptop-style typing. The device weighs 1.71 lb and measures 0.3 inch thick.

Setup and common issues

Windows 10 is pre-installed so the tablet is ready to use after the initial out-of-box experience. The Type Cover connects through the Surface Connect port without drivers. A single USB-A port limits peripheral expansion; a hub is often required for mice, external drives or wired networks. The integrated kickstand adjusts to multiple angles but cannot be detached.

Interface and storage limits

Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1 provide wireless connectivity for everyday browsing and accessories. The microSDXC slot accepts cards for extra file storage but does not extend the internal SSD. The 128 GB drive holds the operating system, applications and a modest media library; large video projects or game libraries will fill it quickly. The 3.5 mm jack supports headsets for calls and media.
