Versatile 12.3-inch Windows tablet

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a 12.3-inch tablet running Windows 11 Home on an Intel Core i5-1035G4 quad-core processor at 1.1 GHz with 8GB of memory. It suits professionals and students who need a lightweight device for office tasks, web browsing and media consumption on the move.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 1.1 GHz processor and integrated graphics handle typical productivity loads without active cooling noise, while the lithium-polymer battery delivers up to 10.5 hours of mixed use. Under continuous heavy demand the system throttles clock speeds to manage heat, so extended rendering or compile jobs will run slower than short bursts.

Build, connectors and daily use

The platinum chassis measures 11.5 by 7.9 by 0.33 inches and includes a 2736 x 1824 LCD touchscreen, one USB port and a microSD slot for the 128GB of expandable storage. WiFi 1 and Bluetooth 5.0 provide wireless connectivity, while the absence of HDMI means external displays require a USB-C adapter or dock.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Core i5-1035G4 get after a full day of work?

The quad-core 1.1 GHz processor runs inside a fanless 0.33 in chassis with a lithium-polymer battery rated for 10.5 hours, so heat and noise stay minimal during typical workloads.

Which accessories are required to turn this tablet into a laptop replacement?

A Surface Type Cover for the keyboard connector and a Surface Pen for the 2736 x 1824 touchscreen are the two main add-ons; the single USB port and 802.11AX WiFi handle most other peripherals.

Can I keep using my existing USB-A drives and Bluetooth 5.0 headphones with this device?

Yes — the one USB port accepts standard USB-A devices, and Bluetooth 5.0 pairs with current headphones; the 128 GB internal drive also offers space for local files.
