13-inch Windows 11 Pro Tablet

The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is a 13-inch tablet running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor at 2.60 GHz with 8 GB memory and 128 GB storage. The 2880 x 1920 LCD touchscreen and 4G LTE support suit mobile professionals who need a full desktop OS in a compact form.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This device suits workers who want a detachable Windows PC with stylus and keyboard options for note-taking, document editing and video calls on the move. Buyers who need more storage or additional ports for multiple peripherals should consider other configurations.

Deciding specification: 4G LTE connectivity

The built-in 4G LTE modem is the single feature that determines whether this model fits the workflow. It allows internet access without relying on a separate hotspot or Wi-Fi network, which is essential for field work and travel. Without that requirement a Wi-Fi-only unit would cover the same core tasks.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the Type Cover to the 13-inch Surface Pro 8 and what step is often missed?

Align the magnetic connector on the bottom edge of the 13.0" display, then fold the cover back to engage the hinge; the step often missed is pressing firmly until the connector clicks into the 2880 x 1920 screen unit.

Which component will need replacement first on the Surface Pro EIV-00001-8-128-Pla-B?

The Lithium-Polymer battery is the first part likely to need replacement after repeated charge cycles reduce its capacity below the rated 8HRS battery life.

What thermal limit appears first during sustained loads on the 2.60 GHz quad-core processor?

The processor will throttle its 2.60 GHz clock speed to manage heat once the internal temperature reaches its safety threshold under continuous heavy workloads.
