13-inch 2880 x 1920 tablet for mobile professionals

The Surface Pro 8 combines a 13.0-inch LCD touchscreen with an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor running at 3.0 GHz. It ships with 16GB of memory and 1TB of flash storage running Windows 11 Home. The platinum chassis measures 0.3 x 11.3 x 8.2 inches and includes a lithium-ion battery rated for more than five hours of use.

No internal assembly required.

As a sealed tablet there are no user-serviceable parts inside, so installation means pairing the Type Cover or docking station through the proprietary connector. The only common issue is forgetting to update Windows 11 and Surface firmware before first use, which can leave WiFi 3 or Bluetooth 5.1 unstable. A quick check for updates resolves most connectivity glitches.

Verify your workflow fits a single USB-C port

The device provides one USB-C connection and lacks a full-size HDMI output, so external monitors need a compatible adapter or dock. Confirm that your essential peripherals work over USB-C or Bluetooth 5.1 before ordering. Buyers who need multiple native video outputs or legacy USB-A ports should look elsewhere.
