Surface Pro Signature Keyboard

The Microsoft Surface Pro Signature Keyboard 8X8-00001 converts a Surface Pro 8 or Pro X into a laptop-style device. It includes a QWERTY keyboard with integrated touchpad and a dedicated tray that stores and charges the bundled Surface Slim Pen 2. The kit is aimed at professionals who want a single accessory for typing and inking.

Magnetic attachment and Bluetooth 5.0 pen

The keyboard connects to the tablet through a magnetic interface that aligns and holds the unit in place. The Slim Pen 2 communicates separately via Bluetooth 5.0, so the stylus works wirelessly even when detached from the charging tray. Both connections are proprietary to the Surface ecosystem.

Check Surface model and region layout

Verify that your tablet is a Surface Pro 8 or Pro X with a 13-inch touch screen, as other models are not supported. The keyboard ships with an English QWERTY layout only. Confirm the tray dimensions — 5.38"H x 0.44"W x 0.25"D — fit your workspace before ordering.
