NEXSYS 20 A rack PDU

The Middle Atlantic PDX-920R is a 20 A NEXSYS rack-mounted power distribution unit with nine NEMA 5-20R outlets. It is designed for installers who need reliable surge and voltage protection in compact AV racks, digital-signage enclosures or kiosks. Two mounting options — a clamp and L-brackets — attach to a Lever Lock plate for tool-free installation. Front and side LEDs show surge status at a glance.

Upgrade from unprotected strips

Basic power strips lack multi-stage surge suppression and automatic over- or under-voltage shutdown. The PDX-920R adds selectable voltage protection via a dry-contact port that cuts power during unsafe conditions and restores it when voltage returns to normal. The jump is worth it when sensitive AV gear must stay online through brownouts or transients without manual reset.

Nine outlets with transformer spacing

Eight rear outlets are oriented so that wall-wart transformers do not block neighbouring sockets, and a single front outlet provides convenient temporary access. The 20 A rating supports typical behind-the-display loads such as media players, small amplifiers and network switches. Installations that require more than nine outlets or a higher current rating will need an additional PDU or a larger unit.
