Emergency weather radio for local alerts

The Midland WR120B receives NOAA weather scans and alerts for over 60 types of hazards. S.A.M.E. localized programming lets you enter a code for your specific county so you only hear warnings that affect your area. You can program up to 25 different counties into the radio. It is suited for anyone who wants targeted emergency notifications at home or in a small office.

Dual power and compact desktop build

The unit runs on an AC power adapter or six AAA batteries, so it stays on during power cuts. A continuous backlight option keeps the LCD readable in darkness. Color-coded alert indicators show the alert type and severity at a glance. Alert override automatically switches the radio to warn of impending danger. The hardware interface includes a USB port for additional connectivity.

Check power and coverage before buying

Verify that you have a standard AC outlet for the adapter and a supply of AAA batteries for backup operation. Confirm that your location falls within NOAA weather radio coverage so the alerts will be received. The radio supports one FM band at 108 MHz and is not compatible with smart home systems. Ensure the single-band tuner meets your listening needs.
