Fastener grade and thread

These Grade 8 steel hex nuts accept a 3/8"-24 thread and are finished in zinc yellow for corrosion resistance. The 50-piece pack supplies enough hardware for multiple automotive or industrial fastening tasks. Builders who need a coarser thread pitch or a different grade will need another product.

Sustained clamping performance

Grade 8 material maintains its preload under vibration and thermal cycling better than lower-grade nuts. The zinc yellow coating protects the threads during repeated assembly and disassembly. Applications that require stainless steel or a locking feature are not served by this item.

Pack quantity and daily use

Fifty nuts in one package reduce the frequency of reordering for maintenance shops and assembly lines. The uniform finish allows quick visual inspection for thread damage before installation. Users who need metric threads or smaller pack sizes must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does running this fastener continuously generate noise, heat or draw power?

No — it is a passive steel hex nut with no moving parts, no electrical connection and no power requirement.

What must I already own for the 3/8"-24 thread to engage correctly?

A matching 3/8"-24 bolt or stud; the 24 threads-per-inch pitch is fixed and will not mate with coarse or metric threads.

Will the Grade 8 zinc-yellow finish cause galvanic issues against older plated or stainless hardware I keep?

Grade 8 steel with zinc-yellow coating is compatible with most legacy zinc, cadmium or plain-steel fasteners in dry service.
