Purpose-fit hardware

These zinc-plated steel cotter pins measure 3/32" by 2" and come in a 100-count pack. They suit mechanics, fabricators and maintenance crews who need a reliable split-pin fastener for drilled shafts, clevis pins or castle nuts.

Simple press-and-bend

Insert the pin through the aligned holes, then bend the two tines outward with pliers to lock the assembly. The only common issue is forgetting to spread both legs fully, which can allow the pin to work loose under vibration.

Steady under vibration

Once bent, the dual tines resist backing out during sustained shaking or cyclic loads better than a single-use clip. The zinc coating slows surface corrosion so the pin remains functional through extended service intervals.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the cotter pins hold securely after bending the tines?

After installation the split pin's two tines should be bent back against the fastened parts so the pin cannot rotate or pull out; a visual check that both legs are fully folded down confirms it is working as intended.

Does the 100PK box contain only the pins or are nuts and washers included?

The pack contains 100 zinc-plated steel cotter pins measuring 3/32" x 2"; no nuts, washers or other hardware are included and must be purchased separately if required.

Should I choose the 3/32" x 2" size or a different diameter and length for my application?

Select the 3/32" diameter by 2" length when the hole and material thickness match those dimensions; other diameters or lengths are separate SKUs and are not included in this 100-piece pack.
